GIA Renovations wins the 2025 TIDA Australia Designer Bathroom Suite of the Year
Congratulations to Olivia Cirocco of GIA Renovations, winner of the 2025 TIDA Australia Designer Suite of the Year – with the feeling of an at-home day spa
Transformation of this space started with addressing the layout – the long, narrow, under-utilised space was reimagined into a private, spa-like retreat more in line with the home’s standard and better suited to the owners’ needs.
A stud wall was constructed and an aluminium arched door with privacy glass was placed in the centre.
This conceals the ensuite from the walk-in wardrobe, providing privacy and, in turn, creating more wardrobe storage space.
Consistency through each of the zones comes through intentional shapes, material selection and the selected finishes.
Limed oak in the master bedroom is replicated within the wardrobe’s tall joinery, while a microcement finish on the wardrobe’s island bench can be found on both sides of the wall entering the ensuite, as well as on both vanity units.
Soft curves and bullnose edges feature throughout, tying together the custom details and giving the space an organic ambience.
An intentionally contrasting detail is the custom aluminum shower screen, which frames the circular bath at the focal point of the room, and replicates the arch door into the ensuite.
Black has been added within each zone to tie the design to the existing windows.
The TIDA judges felt the designer has produced a functional, yet calming and luxurious environment, with the feeling of an at-home day spa.
