Functional and flexible
Fresh from Eurocucina, Rational's Emotion kitchen features multipurpose storage and bench units

Designers have been combining living rooms and kitchens for some time now, and with this amalgamation has come a desire to create furniture that is at home throughout an open-plan space.
Recently released from Germany's Rational range and soon to be available at Palazzo Kitchens, the Emotion kitchen is such a design. Multifunctional shelving units and lowboard tables can be combined with kitchen cabinetry and located anywhere, in any size space, says Palazzo's managing director Ron Neale.

"The units can be used for storage, or as multimedia shelves with PC docking stations. They can also contain a lighting system, such as interior cabinet lights or integral worktop lighting. Similar to a sideboard, the lowboard can be used for a dining or work surface."
For further flexibility, a matching table and stool can be added to the kitchen. With lightweight stainless steel frames, these have a relaxed feel that is carried throughout the rest of the design.

The Emotion kitchen is produced in a wide range of colours and finishes, all of which emphasise its clean lines and informal, contemporary aesthetic.
