Showing the cars in the best possible light is something to be taken literally in a dealership. For the Ferrari Maserati Sydney showroom, there was a need to display the cars under spotlights that would reinforce the sense of exclusivity associated with the models.

Belvia Services was awarded the electrical contract for the project in early 2008. After initial consultations with the builder, Built NSW, the company worked to deliver a comprehensive, energy-efficient electrical design that would fulfil the client's vision.

General manager Kieran Mitford says Belvia Services followed Ferrari corporate guidelines to provide the electrical design for the showrooms, workshops, offices, boardroom, conference and training facilities.

"Our design team, with the guidance of Clipsal Australia, chose the C-Bus control and management system as the preferred automation package. This system allows clients to have complete control of the lighting to suit their business needs."

Mitford says the feature lighting for the main showroom was designed to display the cars beneath vibrant spotlights that would attract the attention of potential customers.

"An in-depth data and communications solution by Clipsal was also implemented for this project. For ease of operation, the design integrates all the communications services from rack cabinets to cabling."
