Full circle
To maximise light and views, this home features a circular core with curved toughened glass doors, walls and balustrading from Glasshape
Spectacular scenery needs architecture to match, and this house fits the bill.
Key features of the interior include a light shaft surrounding a massive structural column in the centre of the house. The balustrading around this core features curved toughened frameless glass from Glasshape. The company says the glass was bent in very tight radii, which made the project challenging.
Glasshape supplied similar glass for the curved frameless walls and sliding doors to the gym. The glass walls and doors to the sauna are also curved, and acid etched for privacy.
With its new toughening furnace, Glasshape can now incorporate uneven curves and tangents on curved glass.
