Director Dan O'Hagan says the firm worked closely with Tse Architects, service engineering consultancy Norman Disney Young and Commercial Property Consultants to ensure the project would be completed to a high standard and delivered on time."Freear Philip specialises in medium-sized commercial construction, from new builds to refurbishments and interior fit-outs, and this project was a mix of all three," says O'Hagan. "It involved complex plumbing, mechanical and electrical services to cater to the courses on offer for example, the institute incorporates a large commercial-scale teaching kitchen, cafe and hairdressing school, in addition to classrooms and administration offices." To this end, the firm assigned contracts manager Michael Deane to the project."We utilised his management skills and tools to keep the programme on track and to co-ordinate all the services," says O'Hagan.
