The company is a member of the Venus Marble family, located in Athens, Greece. Venus owns many quarries in Europe, directly exporting large quantities of stone to the United States. Medimer is one of the only marble factories in Athens approved to do archeological work, and the same finely tuned equipment used to restore Greece's ruins is used to produce stone for people's homes.

As Medimer manufactures and quarries its own stone, it is able to handle complex custom orders such as columns, made-to-order carved statues, hand-carved fireplaces, fountains and stone fascia.
