The old-world character of the houses at 675 West Paces Ferry is determined by both the design and the building materials. To replicate a traditional French look, and to provide visual continuity, Harrison Design Associates specified slate roofing from Classic Slate and Tile.

President Steve Yoder says the imported slate roofing was also chosen for its durability it has a life expectancy of more than 150 years, which means the owners will never need to re-roof.

"The permanence of slate has also made it a popular roofing material for commercial buildings, particularly educational institutions, such as universities and schools," says Yoder.

Classic Slate and Tile established more than 25 years ago also supplies slate tiles in a variety of profiles, and traditional wood shakes.
