"Our brief was to design a pool large enough to exercise in as a lap pool but that would also fit with the deck area and not interfere with sea views," says Lodge. "In response, we created a concrete pool that sits above ground, with an 18m infinity edge on two sides."

The pool colour, Fiji Sands, has a new flake component that glistens in the sun. The coping stones are black granite and the pool is heated via a 50kW, three-phase heat pump located in a custom-built shed which sits below the pool, out of sight.

The 140,000L pool is filtered using a salt water filtration system and an auto pH dosing pump. It is cleaned by a robotic vacuum taking the hassle out of upkeep.
