A hallmark of a beautiful home is the attention to detail. At Luna Rossa rooms are so generously proportioned that every aspect of the interior design detailing is larger than life.

One eye-catching feature is the wide expanse of flooring, and at Luna Rossa this was supplied and installed by Creative Flooring Designs.

The size and the curved nature of the home added to the complexity of the task. Creative Flooring Designs installed Kempas hardwood floors with accent bands especially designed to accommodate the radius of the home.

The company installed all the Bisazza and Trend Glass tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen. Tiles are featured around the fireplace in the large living area, and glass slabs are inset into the hardwood floor around the fireplace. Glass block work was installed in the front entry area and the company was also responsible for laying the black slate floors in the bathrooms.

David Harvey of Creative Flooring Designs says one of the challenges was in the installation of the feature strips in the pre-finished hardwood floors. Each feature strip had to be modified to ensure a quality transition as the direction in the hardwood floor changed.

"We also had to take great care in laying out the glass tiles to ensure a minimal number of cuts in the tiles. We achieved this by ensuring the walls were perfectly plumb," says Harvey.
