I'm my own engineer and fabricator, because I don't like to be told it can't be done. Here I custom-designed many elements, such as roofing details and pool gates, to ensure they were practical and aesthetically pleasing," says Kadam. The curved geometry of the roof meant inventing a new way to shape and fasten the copper, and because the dry conditions meant the copper would not develop a natural patina, this was induced chemically, then artificially aged.
