Finishing touch

It's the little things that make all the difference in a bathroom that is both functional and attractive

A new bathroom may look sleek on the surface, but when the hardware isn't up to scratch it can let the whole design down.

Selecting the right fittings is vital to completing the aesthetic of any bathroom, says Russell Dagenais, marketing director at Fleurco Products.

"Too often a space like a bathroom is compromised by the finishing touches. When a shower's frame is flimsy or the glass is too thin, then the overall effect is diminished," he says.

Fleurco produces a wide range of shower enclosures, including the Kinetik product range which uses solid stainless steel bars and bearings.

"You can't compare any other material to stainless steel for that weighty, quality finish," says Dagenais.

Kinetik sliding doors by Fleurco are made with half-inch thick glass and use three-inch symmetry rollers to ensure they glide effortlessly and quietly. The running rail can support up to 300 pounds. Fleurco also provides hinged shower doors which use thick glass and quality fixtures for durability and a sleek finish.

Fleurco's products were acknowledged by the Kitchen and Bathroom Industry Show in 2009, where the firm won Best in Show for the innovative Kinetik Slice shower door.

Dagenais says that Fleurco products can be customized to fit and complement almost any space.

"Our range of shower doors and hardware is one of the largest in North America. Because we offer such an extensive selection and can customize every product, we can provide architects and designers with a solution for any bathroom," says Dagenais.
