Trends Ideas remembers one of the mosticonic names in architecture, Dame Zaha Hadid, who has died suddenly at the age of 65.
The Iraqi-born British architect suffered a heart attack while in hospital being treated for bronchitis.
Being one of the most prominent and recognisable names in architecture, Hadid has won countless awards over the years, including the Pritzker prize – architecture’s equivalent of a Nobel prize – and was also the first woman to ever receive the RIBA’s royal gold medal as well.
