Everybody's talking
Injecting the wow factor into your new kitchen is not just about the cabinetry design and material palette it's also about your choice of appliances. Swiss-made V-Zug appliances fit the bill, as these kitchens show
Most people designing a new kitchen spend many hours planning the layout and choosing the cabinetry, usually with the help of a professional designer. But it's the appliances you choose that will make all the difference to its functionality.
Appliance technology is something Swiss company V-Zug knows all about. From its small beginnings in 1913, as an appliance manufacturer in the town of Zug, V-Zug has grown to become a global leader in appliance design.
The company's expertise has now reached Australian shores, with V-Zug appliances available through a network of distributors nationwide.
Oskar Kamber, managing director of the V-Zug operation in Australia, says several new technologies have been developed at the new V-Zug head office in Zug. All of these are incorporated into the appliance line-up in Australia, ensuring local homeowners have access to the most up-to-date appliance technology available to consumers anywhere.
"High performance, ease of operation, energy efficiency, safety and aesthetics have all been addressed," says Kamber. "The new FutureLine range of ovens is a good example of the company's design direction. This is a fully co-ordinated collection with a clear language of forms."
Special features of this range include fully automatic V-Zug cooking sensors. At the touch of a button, individual recipes are automatically cooked to provide tender, tasty and nutritious food. There is also a patented soft-roasting programme that provides tender meat at the exact desired time. This provides stress-free cooking and high-quality dishes.
The FutureLine collection includes the Combi-Steam SL oven, which allows you to cook balanced, healthy meals steam cooking preserves more essential vitamins and minerals.
Several dozen recipes from top chefs are programmed into the Combi-Steam SL. By simply pressing a button, the GourmetSteam program cooks food as it would be cooked by a Michelin-star chef.
But the kitchen is not the only room in the house to gain from the appliance collection now being distributed by V-Zug in Australia. In the laundry, V-Zug has set new standards in heat pump technology.
The new Adora TSL heat pump dryer uses 45% less energy than a conventional dryer, and is ranked as an Energy Efficiency Class A dryer. This means it is possible to protect the environment and still get your clothes dried faster than with a conventional dryer. The dryer's airtight cabinet and highly efficient insulation also minimise humidity in the laundry.
The silent Adora SLQ washer was designed to be paired with the dryer. This machine features V-Zug's WetClean and steam anti-crease settings, which makes it the first washing machine to use steam to remove the need for ironing in most cases. The washer also features the silent Vibration Absorbing System. Because the machine in these appliances runs completely concentrically and is vibration free, it makes practically no noise.
This washing machine has eight basic, and nine additional programmes, which include special wash cycles for jeans, shirts, leisurewear, silk, baby clothes, and duvets.
For maximum convenience, the V-Zug washer and dryer can be either stacked or placed side by side, and both appliances can be drained using the same waste pipe.
