Attention to detail can lift a home out of the ordinary. In this home, the decorative handcrafted millwork takes center stage in several rooms.
Custom built by Sound Woodworks, the cabinetry includes a large entertainment center in the family room. This is designed to house audiovisual equipment, including the main television. Handcrafted from knotty alder, the center includes retractable pilasters that accommodate pool cues.
General manager Drew Ibarra says Sound Woodworks specializes in the customized design of high-end entertainment centers. And, although the company has only been in operation for two years, managers have more than 40 years' experience in woodworking. Sound Woodworks is also linked to Eagle Sentry, a company specializing in audiovisual solutions.
Other millwork undertaken for this project includes the display niches in the dining room, made from knotty alder with ash burl inset panels, and a master bedroom entertainment center.
