With its flowing interior and strong indoor-outdoor connection, this new home by Intrepid Development takes the best elements of Tuscan architecture and adapts them to the Las Vegas lifestyle
Hand-hewn ceiling beams add to the authenticity of the home but they didn't compromise the budget. Realm of Design supplied Euro-Lite lightweight ceiling beams for the project. The company also provided a precast kitchen hood and fireplace surround that further enhance the Tuscan look.
Sales manager Christopher Bush says the owner wanted simple but distinct designs for the kitchen hood and fireplace, and an authentic hand-hewn beam look for the ceilings.
"But he didn't want the cost and hassle associated with installing real wood beams," he says.
Euro-Lite beams have both the texture and color of natural wood, but are considerably lighter. The company says a 26ft-long beam weighs about 100lb and can be installed easily by two people.
The kitchen hood and fireplace surround are made from Tereka stone, which is manufactured by the company to simulate French limestone.
