Ecologically sound
From the bottom up, this Sydney office building has been designed and constructed with care for the environment in mind

Glass has been used extensively both inside and out at 30 The Bond. It is a key feature of the external fae§ade, atrium, lifts and office spaces, and makes a dramatic visual statement in the reception area.
Progressive Glazing Services carried out the majority of this glazing work, including the construction of this curved glass structure.
Designed by Whittaker Hadenham Openshaw, the 2.8m-high structure is modelled on a classic Aalto vase. The curved panels transform from a cylindrical to a conical shape to form a continuous ribbon of glass.

The panels consist of two pieces of clear glass laminate curved separately and filled with a layer of resin to form a laminate gloss.
A white translucent film on the glass screens the service area behind it.
Progressive Glazing Services specialises in factory-glazed curtain wall panels, all forms of site glazing, including suspended and toughened assemblies, and architectural glass design projects.
