Ecologically sound
From the bottom up, this Sydney office building has been designed and constructed with care for the environment in mind
Before construction of a building such as 30 The Bond gets underway, it pays to consider the retention of earth and support of neighbouring structures. With efficient design, companies can maximise the amount of usable real estate and achieve greater financial gain from their development.
MacDonald Sheet Piling installed its Mac Shore system, a temporary or permanent shoring system used in soil conditions where the installation of conventional sheet piling, or concrete and grout piling is not practical or efficient.
The company's TP pile system is installed with reinforced concrete. Restraining rods are installed to create a pre-stressed, reinforced earth mass.
In the case of 30 The Bond, which has an underlying soil profile of sand and rock, the Mac Shore system was integrated with the permanent wall, increasing the available building area.
MacDonald Sheet Piling offers retention and foundation solutions for all ground conditions and construction/real estate requirements.
