Paul Clout Design has proved this in his Mission Beach House, situated in far North Queensland. Clout's signature resort lifestyle home features natural timber, stone and a quality fit-out with both interior and exterior water features. The outside design is an integral part of the internal design, says Clout.

The home has to withstand climate extremes such as monsoon thunderstorms, cyclones, high temperatures and high humidity. With no connection to public services, including water and electricity, the house instead has a state-of-the-art service core to provide all energy requirements and services automatically from on-site renewable sources.
