Without doubt, a fireplace is one of the simplest and most successful ways of creating ambience in a home.

Innovators in fireplace design, New Zealand company Real Fires has created a double-sided gas fireplace. This Through Wall model allows a fire to be enjoyed in two rooms simultaneously or from both the exterior and interior of your home without the effort of installing two fireplaces. Both sides of the fireplace provide warmth, although there is a performance differential between the open and the glass sides, with the open fire putting out approximately 70% of the available heat.

For extra convenience, the Minimal Through Wall fire features a two-speed fan set and modulating controls, including a hand-held remote.

The Real Fires Through Wall fire is designed to be installed in new timber frame situations only, and is not suitable for existing brick chimneys. The firebox is supplied with a fully insulated kit to maximise safety and efficiency, and no additional fire proofing is required.
