Designed for life
This expansive showhome is nestled in a rural location of rolling hills. The interior design and fit-out by Yellowfox complements the rustic yet modern setting
One approach in interior design is to create an ambience that evokes the home's surroundings. Tones, hues and textures that reflect the essence of what lies beyond the windows can be drawn together to create a rich, lush environment.
Triton Ventures was the developer of this rural showhome. The company commissioned Yellowfox to complete the interior design for the residence, says Yellowfox designer Claire Bruford.
"The brief from Triton was to create a modern, rustic retreat with furnishings, finishes and tones appropriate to the rural setting," says Bruford. "The ambience is up-scale and earthy, with an emphasis on textures, muddy tones, and colour accents."
These tones are used extensively in the kitchen. A warm Bestwood walnut veneer is matched with Stonex Ponga tops the natural-look surfaces reflecting the home's location. The large mosaic tile used as a splashback brings depth to the space.
"Good interior design is partly reliant on insider knowledge," says Bruford. "Yellowfox's network of industry contacts ensured every interior element is of the highest standard."
