Heavy-use products such as sliding doors must be high quality and low maintenance to stand the test of time in a busy corporate environment. For the new BNZ office, however, the brief specifically stated that these products also had to have a sleek and minimal design to fit with the rest of the interior finishings.

As a result, Forman Building Systems provided custom aluminium partitioning and door solutions, which successfully delivered a consistent, cost-effective and low-maintenance result. The AAL Wideline system boasts a fluent, continuous appearance, while remaining inexpensive and sturdy.

Nick Molcisi, market manager at Forman Building Systems says that for this fit-out, the primary advantage of using the AAL Wideline system is that the fixture is hidden inside a casing, giving it a seamless look.

"The doors also have a straightforward mechanical roller system in the top of the frame, so what you see is what you get. The end result is more durable and maintenance is significantly more straightforward. We're also able to construct the door frames off site, which saves time and money," he says.

Molcisi says that the doors were specifically designed to match with the rest of the office space, creating a minimal and dressed aesthetic. The system is also very flexible; sliding and hinged aluminium doors can be custom made to suit any size frame and any environment.
