Créme de la créme new house by Starr Constructions

One of the best things about designing and building a new home is being able to customise every aspect to suit your own lifestyle from the layout of the rooms to the choice of materials and landscaping.

This large house, which was built by NSW company Starr Constructions, was tailored to meet a precise design brief from the owners, says director Nino Sanzari.

"The clients wanted a home for the future, a place where their children could grow up. It needed to be large and open, yet it also had to allow for separation as the children became older and needed more privacy. The owners also wanted to maximise the water views, and they required a grand entertaining area, with alfresco living."

To meet these criteria, Starr Constructions built a large home with a formal living room, rumpus room, open-plan kitchen and family living area, walk-in pantry and four bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The company also built a loggia-style outdoor living area with operable overhead louvres and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. This area overlooks the pool's infinity-edge waterfall.

High-end materials and products include a large natural stone feature fireplace, a 100mm Calacatta marble island benchtop, Quantum Quartz New Mink benchtops, Miele appliances, limestone floor tiles and a 100% wool carpet in the bedrooms.
