Frameless glass systems from Euroglass convey contemporary luxury
Innovative architecture only succeeds when there are products that can meet the designer's brief, as this project illustrates.
The eye-catching, three-storey house designed by Robin O'Donnell Architects in Auckland, is a showcase for a range of glass applications. The glass is intrinsic to the sleek, architectural lines, maintaining a sense of openness and a visual connection with the outdoors.
Frameless glass specialist Euroglass Systems was contracted to supply a varied range of glass systems. Manager Gary Walden says the company's innovative thinking and expertise in frameless glass systems was a pivotal success factor.
"A key feature of the house is a grand, double-height atrium. Eurobrik¢ floor-to-ceiling glass block walls on the landing and a glass roof allow the light to pour in."
Frameless glass balustrades enhance the perception of space. This feeling is continued outside through the use of glass pool fencing, which is supported by low-profile stainless steel mini posts.
Euroglass also supplied glass shower screens with coloured-glass wall linings as well as a frosted glass shower and toilet enclosure.
Walden says with 24 years' experience, Euroglass can provide the most extensive and innovative range of concepts.
