Monier Bricks & Roofing supplied and installed the concrete tile roof for this David Reid Homes Waikato show home. This is the second Monier roof David Reid has used on a show home in the Waikato, says marketing manager Louise Farac.

"The success of the previous house made it easy to choose the same roof style again," says Farac. "The sleek lines of the Monier Horizon tile offer a profile well suited to contemporary house design."

"This time, David Reid chose Kava for the roof colour a new hue to the range and this worked well with the overall colour scheme, giving it a refined appeal."

The roofing material selected was a Horizon Concrete roof tile with an A-line ridging. The flat profile of this tile, combined with the A-line ridge, provides a cleaner look than conventional lapped ridging, giving the completed roof a sleek and dimensionally consistent appearance.

However, good looks were not the only reason David Reid Homes Waikato selected Monier. Concrete roof tiles are the smarter choice for sustainable roofing.

"Concrete tiles are created using a low intensity production process. They are easily replaced, can be recycled and are reusable. In addition, they offer a long life performance when considered as part of an overall life cycle assessment (LCA).
