This boldly coloured kitchen adds contrast to a home dominated by white and neutral tones. It was designed by Simply Kitchens to reflect the owner's personality
We all have common requirements when planning a kitchen. However, incorporating the basics into a space that truly reflects our individual character can be a little more tricky. One way to achieve a point of difference is to choose a designer that appreciates your vision, and can enhance it.
Designer Sian Gillanders of Simply Kitchens says it's vital to understand what it is that is motivating a client to change.
"The owner of this kitchen had very definite design ideas. His Queenstown home features very neutral tones, with colours contributed by art. He wanted the kitchen to act as a sculptural element. We enhanced his ideas with pieces that include a glass-backed island. We added silver detailing to give the design texture.
