Scott Horsak of de la Frontera saw a gap in the market when he tried to source exceptional, one-of-a-kind products for the owners of custom homes he was building. So he developed a new business, which offers decorative and customizable sinks, bathtubs and accessories for kitchens and bathrooms, as well as for the commercial and hospitality industries. These products are made from a wide variety of natural materials such as copper, wood, stone, bronze and wrought iron. Commissions have included hand-carved stone tubs, solid bronze basins, wood vessels and wrought iron pedestals.
De la Frontera sources its own raw materials, and fabricates most products and custom orders in its own facility. Copper, a popular product with a rich patina, comes from Mexico or the United States. Products are handmade, with a natural finish to protect against marking.
"This involvement in all stages allows us to control quality, process customized orders easily and be certain clients always gets the best result," says Horsak.
