"The kitchen is in a square footprint, with a pillar in each corner and the working area in the middle. I wanted a balanced, symmetrical design to suit the kitchen's location in the middle of the house. This design footprint also means everything is near to hand, making it an easy space to work in."

Full-height cabinets are positioned on either side of the kitchen's double oven and cooktop. The cabinetry doors open out and fold back to provide additional bench space under the shelves, while crockery is stored at a convenient chest height.
