Commanding presence
To add a sense of permanence and solidity to this new house, the designer specified Grey Edgestone from Stutex Stone's Cerastone range
Every new homeowner today is looking to make a solid investment. So it's not surprising to see the priority given to materials that will ensure a house looks just as good in 20 years.
For the owners of this house, introducing stone accents was a way to visually anchor the house while providing a durable, eye-catching exterior.
Stutex Stone's ES60 Grey Edgestone from the Cerastone range features on two tapered columns, a large chimney, and around the base of the house.
For the owners, this reconstituted stone cladding offered additional benefits. As Stutex Stone is just one third the weight of natural stone, it is a cost-effective option it can be laid quickly and easily in areas where weight would normally be an issue. Its light weight meant no complex bracing or extra structural requirements were needed for the large chimney.
Stutex Stone's range has been designed to closely resemble New Zealand regional stone in texture as well as colour.
Stutex Stone has distributors nationwide. For further details, contact Stutex Stone, 8/6 Westgate Dr, Westgate, Auckland, freephone 0800 788 839, or (09) 832 8300. Email: stutexstone@xtra.co.nz, website: www.stutexstone.co.nz.
