For those who admire the pared-back, minimalist style, MPT, an importer of Italian faucets and fixtures, offers the latest in Italian design.

MPT's new Absens collection, imported from M&Z Rubinetterie in Italy, includes a range of bathroom faucets that, in essence, remain completely invisible until they are needed.

A gentle touch is all that is required to activate a panel on the wall, which then slides back to reveal your mixer. Once the faucets are no longer in use, the panel slides back into place and they are completely invisible again.

Within this collection are concealed basin mixers, bidet mixers, bath mixers with diverters and shower mixers. The sliding panels can be made from stainless steel or mirrored glass. For a personalized finish, stainless steel can be printed with a silk screen image and the signature of the artist.

As an alternative, Alimatha is another new collection of bathroom faucets, also imported by MPT from M&Z Rubinetterie. The sleek lines of these basin, bath and shower faucets are well suited to contemporary-style bathrooms.

For a different look, the Clipper Fluo range, with a fluorescent band on the top of each piece, adds a splash of color to the bathroom, while still retaining a streamlined, minimalist look. The range includes a tall basin mixer, a bidet mixer, a wall mounted bath/shower mixer with a shower kit, and an exposed or a concealed shower mixer.
