Cleaning without effort
Do away with the most hated kitchen chore oven cleaning with Smeg's new stainless steel pyrolitic wall oven
Cleaning the oven must surely be the most loathed and avoided chore in the kitchen. It's awkward, dirty work, the chemicals are unpleasant, and it's very time-consuming.
Choose to install the new Smeg 60cm, stainless steel, pyrolitic wall oven in your kitchen, and you need never go through this exercise again. Pyrolisis is an automatic, high-temperature cleaning process that causes the dirt on the oven walls to carbonise, turning it into a light ash that can be wiped away with a damp cloth. The process takes between 90 and 180 minutes, depending on the state of your oven, and can be done by setting the timer at night. For safety, the oven door automatically locks during this function, and only releases once the temperature in the oven drops to a safe level.
This oven also features 10 cooking functions, including fan forced, conventional bake, half-grill and rotisserie. For convenience, it switches off automatically when the door is open and has an electronic programmable clock and timer.
Another development from Smeg is a new horizontal dishwasher. At 90cm wide and 58cm deep, the Horizon can be integrated below the benchtop or built into a wall column at a convenient height.
