Having the peace of mind of a certified practitioner on hand
We are all faced with many decisions when building, but finding and choosing a competent tradesperson to carry out the work need not be an arduous process.
The Certified Builders Association of New Zealand (CBANZ) can help, by taking the guesswork out of finding a qualified builder, says CEO Derek Baxter.
"We believe it is the client's right to know that the builder undertaking the project is appropriately trained, and has the skills and business ethics to do a good job."
Employing a certified builder is also the only way for a homeowner to gain a 10-year Homefirst Builders Guarantee. The guarantee provides surety against loss of deposit, non-completion and defects cover for workmanship and products.
Each CBANZ-qualified builder undergoes a rigorous training and testing programme, and receives ongoing education.
