Manager Mark Trafford says a long island, with a deep Quarella benchtop and sides, is the centrepiece of the room. This provides plenty of work space and allows the owners to socialise with guests while preparing meals.

"The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining. Storage systems include a vertical pantry, and a scullery with its own sink and dishwasher."

It's a very sophisticated way to visually link all the areas within a large, open-plan space."
