Big-hearted
This large kitchen is intended for serious cooking and easy entertaining the design is by Warehouse Cabinets
An effective kitchen design needs to match the feel of its home in terms of decor and scale. At the same time it needs to offer the day-to-day advantages required of a domestic workspace.
When Warehouse Cabinets was asked to design this show kitchen, it had to set the scene for the standard of kitchen in all the homes built by Surest Homes within the 200-dwelling Lions Gate at Redtail Development. Warehouse Cabinets designer Tracy Rendina explains some of the kitchen's built-in advantages.
"The house is spacious, and the kitchen had to work well on this grand scale," she says. "At the same time, the interior has a solid, traditional feel, and the kitchen had to reflect this. Medallion cabinetry, granite countertops and Jenn-Air appliances set the scene for a practical, classic work space."
The layout ensures that while the kitchen is large, the work triangle is quite functional for a busy chef, says Rendina.
"Another consideration was ongoing value. The choice of upmarket appliances and cabinetry, and a classic, neutraldecor ensure the kitchen will retain its good looks and functionality for years to come."
Warehouse Cabinets offers a complete design and installation service, covering kitchens from the classic to contemporary.
