Best of all worlds
Designing the perfect bathroom is all about finding the right fittings. For this show home, products from three separate Kohler collections are combined to provide the required luxury and aesthetics
Looking at bathroom collections is a great way to source fixtures and fittings for your own project, but there is no rule that says you must choose all your products from the same range. Sometimes a mix of styles is just what's needed.
To capture a sense of luxury and indulgence for this bathroom, a variety of different Kohler products was specified.
The designers of the David Reid show home in Queenstown chose a sculpted hand basin from the Escale collection. Based on the traditional forms of Japanese ceramic tableware, the Escale provides a calm, uncluttered look, which enhances an atmosphere of calm and serenity. The basin's distinctive look also makes a strong design statement in keeping with the home's contemporary architecture.
The Kohler Sok bath is an added luxury. Designed to reinforce the ritual of bathing, the Sok is a deep bath, providing a sleek plane of water at eye level. This overflows into a channel, with the sound of the falling water aiding relaxation. Air jets create effervescent bubbles providing additional therapeutic benefits.
The bathroom also features a Kohler Trilogy frameless shower, which features a waterproof wall and tile tray system.
