Using the bathroom, especially first thing in the morning, is something many of us do in a daze as we rub the last traces of sleep from our eyes.

Not so when your bathroom is decorated in Bisazza glass mosaic tiles you'll wake up to a blaze of color and light.

Glass mosaic tiles can be used on any surface in the bathroom, including walls, floors, ceilings, vanity tops, handbasins, bathtubs, and shower stalls.

As well as bringing your bathroom to life with their iridescence, glass mosaic tiles are tough, easy to clean and don't fade or discolor.

They are also non-porous, making them an ideal surface in any wet area around the home, and back-beveled to ensure all edges are smooth and safe.

Founded in 1956 in Vicenza, Italy, Bisazza is internationally renowned for the production of glass mosaic tiles.

Marketing manager Lucia Schito says the company has preserved the traditional processes and techniques of Venetian mosaic-making, but has also kept up with advances in technology.

"Glass mosaic tiles come in many colors and finishes, and the intensity of the sheen can be adjusted to either shimmer or shine when caught in the light."

Bisazza has more than 200 solid colors in its glass tile range and can create any custom blend within two weeks, and any custom design within four to six weeks from its Miami production facility.

Schito says because the tiles are so small three quarters of an inch square designing a pattern is easy.

As well as bathrooms, Bisazza glass mosaic tiles can be used to create swimming pools, fountains, kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, floor coverings or feature walls.

The company also offers a range of pre-designed wallcoverings in a variety of patterns.
