This bathroom is part of a loft renovation in Toronto by Vincent Boyer. On this project, the owner requested the choice of surfaces be guided by the existing materials in the original space. These elements included the century-old wood post-and-beam structure, the wood ceiling, concrete floors and exposed brick walls.

"In the bathroom, similar raw, yet noble, materials like natural stone, glass and reclaimed wood are used," says Boyer.

Features include a solid block of Champlain stone, handcrafted into a custom-designed sink by BAB's artisans in Montreal. A frosted-glass panel and a door made from reclaimed elm planks divide the toilet and shower from the sink and dressing area.

"Solid stainless steel was chosen over chrome for the wall-mounted faucets. The alloy was selected for its rugged industrial feel and appearance."
