Major kitchen appliances from De'Longhi's range are as practical as they are attractive. They have a host of convenient, easy-to-operate features to make cooking a pleasure.

One of the most innovative appliances in the De'Longhi range is the induction cooktop. Induction is as fast as gas and extremely energy efficient. About 90% of the used energy is converted directly into heat, making induction cooking twice as fast as conventional cooktops. Induction is also extremely safe, as it is not hot to the touch. The DIHS62 has two induction cooking zones and two rapid response ribbon elements, while the DIHS64 has four induction cooking zones.

To make the chore of cleaning ovens easier, De'Longhi offers a self-cleaning oven. The DPMFPS60B built-in oven has eight functions ranging from fan-forced baking to closed-door grilling. The Pyrolysis self-cleaning process utilises intense heat to incinerate even the toughest fats and oils, turning them into a fine ash that can be easily wiped away.

To complement the DPMFPS60B oven, De'Longhi offers the MW865BISB built-in, multifunction microwave oven. Its generous 30L oven capacity and five cooking combinations (microwave, grill, microwavegrill, fan and microwave fan) make it a versatile appliance. Other convenient features include auto-defrost, easy-to-use electronic controls, turntable stop button, drop-down grill element, drop-down oven door and an adjustable thermostat from 60 to 220°C.

The Art Series collection of ovens is one of the latest additions to the De'Longhi range. Nigel Cornford, marketing manager for De'Longhi, says ovens must be easy to operate so the homeowner can get the most from the many functions available.

"Easy operation and good performance are the features that most homeowners say they want in their new household appliance, and this is what you will find in the Art Series cookers," he says.

Ovens have eight cooking functions to help achieve professional results, including fan forced, rotisserie and closed-door grilling. Two powerful triple ring burners produce maximum heat and also ensure a good wok-cooking result. The components are made from heavy-duty cast iron and are modelled on the style of commercial oven components.

The Art series ovens are also visually appealing simple, elegant appliances that carry Italian styling and features. To help keep them looking good, the front stainless steel panels are treated with a special protective lacquer to help repel fingermarks.

De'Longhi also offers rangehoods, splashbacks, and dishwashers for those who want to pick and choose the right components to complete their kitchen.
