Accessories are a key element in creating a specific decorative style for the bathroom. When the design is interesting and the accessories are well-made from the finest materials, they add a sense of style and luxury to the room.

At the last Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Chicago, Ginger introduced Surface shower shelves, a new concept in bathroom accessories. These shelves are a dramatic departure from the ubiquitous wire toiletry basket and are equally suitable for the shower and other areas of the home.

All the shelves are engineered from thick, solid brass plate. Concealed mounting hardware and fully cantilevered gallery rails maintain the shelves' clean lines. Square-edged, slotted openings in the shelf plate let the water flow through easily. The shelves are offered in a selection of configurations a soap shelf, a 12in shelf, a 14in combination soap dish/shelf, corner shelf and left and right corner combination shelves.

The Surface collection is crafted in solid brass, and handfinished. It is offered in polished chrome or satin nickel.

With Synchro, another collection from Ginger, you can create an entirely different style in your bathroom. The arched towel bars and towel rings of the modern Synchro collection allow optimal air flow around damp towels.

Synchro toothbrush holders, soap dishes and bud vases are accented with clear, frosted white, cobalt blue or green glass. Mirrors in the collection feature a patented tilt action that allows the angle of the mirror to be adjusted for shorter or seated users.

The solid brass Synchro sconce lights in the collection have a feature allowing them to be used as nightlights. Their mouth-blown, cased opal glass shades are satin-etched.

Metro is another of Ginger's popular collections of co-ordinating bathroom accessories, mirrors, lights and decorative hardware. The range draws its inspiration from the Art Deco era.

For those wanting to create a more classic look in their bathroom, Ginger's Chelsea collection incorporates tiered rosettes rendered in superb detail in solid, forged brass. Sconce lights feature hand-blown glass shades and Ginger's nightlight.
