It's a job well done when no one notices the drains. Allproof Industries takes its low profile in stride, although its work appears in Stamford Residences from the plant room to the penthouse.

Partnered with a subcontractor, Allproof supplied all the drainage fitting for all areas of the building, including systems for the roof, plant room, carparks and apartments. Its work is visible from the large, bronze-domed outlets on the roof to the understated chrome drains in the marble-lined bathrooms.

"Allproof was able to assist the contractors with custom jobs because of its engineering abilities, even for work outside of its core area of expertise," says Jared Jackson, director of Allproof Industries.

Allproof needed to match up the older drainage system to the new system in the extension. The company used its in-house expertise to design and fabricate products for the best possible fit.

The company also provided passive fire protection for PVC pipes. The fire wrap can be used with thin floor slabs, as was the case with Stamford. To reduce the noise of waste water flowing throughout the building, Allproof provided acoustic lagging for the waste pipes.

"Supplying product for all three areas of the project allowed us to have a really good feel for how it was progressing, and meant we could respond quickly to our partner's requirements," Jackson says.
