Big views demand big windows, and big windows need strong frames. The Pounamu project, therefore, required frames with extra loadbearing capability that also looked good.

Thwaites Aluminium fitted double-glazed Fairview Architectural sliding doors that easily accommodate spans up to 2000mm wide and 2700mm high taking care of the view. Fairview boxed sections, not fins, provide additional strength and allow the frame to sit in line with joinery.
