A long story
To create a seamless look for this long vanity, the designer specified DuPont¢ Corian®

Strong horizontal lines and sleek surfaces are hallmarks of contemporary interiors. So it stands to reason designers will seek out materials that reinforce this look.
For this new apartment bathroom, the designer specified a cantilevered wood cabinet topped with Corian® in Antarctica.
"The Corian was custom molded to provide a long, seamless vanity top, which enhances the sleek, spacious look of the bathroom," she says. "The soft look of Corian was another reason for its choice we didn't want a cold, hard-edged finish."
The designer says Corian was also specified for the kitchens throughout the apartment complex.

"I frequently specify Corian, not only for its looks, but also for its durability, and the fact that it can be molded to any shape or form," she says.
DuPont¢ Surfaces marketing manager Maureen McGeehan says the ability to customize Corian is one of its key features.
"It enables designers and homeowners to express their creativity," she says. "It also provides an attractive, eye-catching surface that brings a sophisticated touch to bathrooms. And there are practical benefits. Corian is non-porous and does not promote the growth of mold, mildew or bacteria. It is also renewable stains and scratches can be sanded out to keep the surface looking like new."
Corian comes in more than 120 colors, ranging from pure whites and neutrals to bright primary shades and a variety of stone and concrete looks.

McGeehan says every Corian surface is covered by a limited warranty for product, craftsmanship and installation. The product is also backed by a network of fast-response DuPont Authorized Service Agents.
