2026 TIDA Australia Bathrooms – Entry open

Trends International Design Awards – Australian Bathrooms

Entry form can be completed online HERE

Entries close: Thursday 25 June

Entry is open to:

• Registered architects
• Professional Designers – includes bathroom designers, building designers, interior designers

And there are three categories:

• Bathroom suite – including bedroom, bathroom, dressing room etc
• Bathroom only – ensuites, children’s bathrooms, main bathroom etc
• Powder room – including powder room/guest bath combinations

For Bathrooms that were completed in 2025 or 2026.

More than one entry may be entered, but each must be submitted on a separate entry form.

You should not enter the same bathroom in both the Bathroom Suite and Bathroom Only categories.

There is no charge for entry

Once we have received your entry, we will email you a link to upload:

– hi-res image files

– plan(s)

– a client brief/design statement

KEY DATES

20 May 2026 – entries open

25 June 2026 – entries close

6 August 2026 – results announced

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entries must include:

1. PROJECT PHOTOGRAPHY

Please supply no less than 3 professional photographs
 of the entry project, suitable for publication.

For Suite entries, these should include some images that show how the bathroom links to adjacent areas of the home.

• Acceptable file types are hi-res jpg or TIFF

2. PLANS

• Please supply at least one detailed floor plan.  Additional elevations and drawings may also be submitted, up to a maximum of 6
• Maximum plan file size is 20Mb per image
• Acceptable file types are jpg, tiff, png and pdf

nb: DWG files cannot be accepted

3. CLIENT BRIEF/DESIGN STATEMENT

Up to 400 words that outline the main client requirements, any specific challenges and how these were overcome, and any particular features of interest.

You can supply as bullet points if you prefer.

Please supply as a Word doc or PDF.

4. VIDEO

Entrants are encouraged to supply a 30 second video run-through of the project, which may be taken on a phone, as an aid to the judges as well as to be potentially posted to Trends social pages. This is not a requirement for entry, and entrants who do not provide this video will not be penalised.

If you have had professional video produced of your project, this can also be included in your entry submission as an additional resource for judges, and may be included in any feature we produce on the project. You can provide the video as a link to it uploaded on YouTube or Vimeo. Or if it has not been uploaded to one of these sites, you can supply the video file with the images.

JUDGES & JUDGING

Judges will assess entrants on the following criteria:

• How the design fulfilled the requirements of the client’s brief
• Functionality – including creativity and space design
• Aesthetics – detailing and materials

AWARDS

The winners in each TIDA category will receive an extensive promotional package across Trends channels – including the trendsideas.com website, Trends eNewsletters, Trends social channels including the Trends Facebook page and Instagram pages, and partner channels.

The winners also proceed to the International section of the TIDAs, to be judged alongside winners of awards programmes in other countries to find the 2026 TIDA International Bathroom of the Year.

The judges, at their discretion, may also award Highly Commended to projects, and/or may also at their discretion decide not to give a particular award.
