2019 TIDA New Zealand Designer Bathrooms winner – Detail by Davinia Sutton

The owners of this contemporary architectural home wanted a boldly designed master ensuite that would sit centre stage in the home’s master wing.

But it also needed to pay homage to their Indian culture and backdrop.

The TIDA judges felt that designer Davinia Sutton created a bathroom that elegantly fulfills the owners’ requirements, as well as meeting all the practical and functional aspects needed.

While the overall result is a clean-lined design that is modern and restrained, elements of boldness and vibrancy are also seen throughout. 

The design makes maximum use of all the available space, while the mix of selected fittings, fixtures and materials ensures the desired sense of luxury. 

This master ensuite has a calm and serene ambience that belies its superior functionality, while respecting a strong cultural background.
