Watertight option
This show home features the latest plumbing, solar and gas technologies, sourced and installed by a registered craftsman plumber
A registered master tradesperson will bring complete peace of mind to your new home project with expertise ranging from design concept to installation of your plumbing, gas, and solar energy needs.
The Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying and Roofing Industry Training Organisation (ITO) offers leads that set apprentices on the pathway to a career as a registered craftsman. The ITO connects industry newcomers with registered tradespeople who take them under their wing and teach them the trade skills required.
One such nurturing environment is Plumbcraft, the company that installed a raft of heating systems for this home. Managing director Sean Stephens says young blood is vital to his company.
"We have paid apprentices registered with the ITO training in several trades, including drainlaying and gasfitting, as well as plumbing," he says. "They work on projects ranging from domestic installations to waste water management, as well as commercial undertakings."
Stephens says his company started focusing on registered ITO apprenticeships six years ago when he realised his own apprentices, with only two years' training, already had a greater understanding of the job than others he had employed.
