Touch of class
Textured benchtops provide a stand-out work surface for a modern kitchen. They not only maintain their looks over time but are also a pleasure to touch
Stainless steel has undergone a surge in popularity in recent times with the eye-catching metal now a favoured choice for appliances, splashbacks and benchtops. The metal has also been re-invented in several ways from mark-free refrigerator surfaces to pressed benchtop textures that enhance the material in terms of looks, longevity and even touch.
Brightworks Stainless offers a range of textured stainless steel benchtops that are a practical and aesthetic asset for contemporary kitchens, says director Dean Francis.
"Texture adds to the material's already famous durability, creating stainless steel work surfaces that are impervious to all kinds of knocks and scrapes," he says. "The surfaces are also pleasing to the touch and work in well with the established trend for matt stainless steel appliances."
The benchtop textures are available in linen, chequer, canvas and traditional satin, and can be matched with square, rolled bull nose, or softened edges to increase the customisation options available.
Brightworks' own integrated sinks are moulded into the benchtops, avoiding join-lines where germs can become trapped and breed. The company provides a precision fit for all its installations.
