Six medals were awarded in the Master Builders House of the Year to design and build company Mitchell Homes
Descriptions such as award-winning and praise-worthy are what every company strives to earn. But they can become meaningless adjectives if you don't have the proof to back them up.
Mitchell Homes can't be accused of empty hype when they describe the company's showhome in Albany, Auckland, as remarkable, because it won first prize in the Auckland region of the Master Builders House of the Year.
"The judges said this house demonstrated high-quality workmanship and creativity in design," says managing director Brent Mitchell.
It has been given the title Tomorrow's Showhome' because it features the latest in residential technology underfloor heating, a ventilation system and a sound system that reaches every room.
Mitchell Homes received five other medals in the competition a prize for every house it entered.
"It's the quality-driven, customer satisfaction approach which has stood Mitchell Homes in good stead, as the company has grown," says Mitchell.
