Solid furnishings are a signature characteristic of the Victorian era. Created by Mark Stock from Mark of Distinction, the handcrafted wooden vanities and wardrobes throughout Red Hills are designed to reflect this look.

Stock worked alongside the designer to achieve the desired result. New Zealand black walnut was chosen for the master bathroom vanities, with hand-cut veneers stained dark and finished in a two-pack polyurethane.

"The hardware for these vanities was imported from the United States. These fittings are handmade from solid brass and give an authentic, warm and traditional aesthetic to the room," says Mark Stock.

Mark of Distinction created the vanities for the other bathrooms in the house, some of which are painted white for a clean look. The company also created the bedroom wardrobes.

With 20 years' experience as a specialist craftsman, Stock uses traditional methods and carefully selected materials to create custom furniture. He also creates contemporary furniture and kitchens.
