TIDA AUS 2017 – Architect-designed suite winner – Bijl Architecture

Situated at the edge of a national park, the Burrawong House initiates a new affinity between the existing dwelling and its bushland site through a series of considered insertions and additions. The clients wanted the ensuite to be discreet – both with regards to access and how it's integrated with the bedroom. The new main bedroom suite includes an entirely new ensuite as well as a walk in wardrobe. The bedroom and ensuite also have a strong visual connection to the bush. The pool below the bedroom serves as a peaceful element.Moody charcoals and greys were used for the floor and wall tiles. The architect used a glass Falper vanity as the centrepiece.A simple mirror relfects light around the space.
