About the project: The site is located within a steep ‘battle axe’ allotment on Sydney’s Balmoral slopes, affording iconic views over Balmoral Beach and the Sydney Harbour headlands.
Affected by limited access and strict Council controls, the design also had to respond to steep topography, potential view loss and a biodiversity corridor.
The Brief:
The design solution should maximise the expansive iconic views to the east of the property and resolve the difficult access created by the ‘battle axe’ allotment.
As a speculative development, it should attract the highest level of interest from high net worth prospects – targeted toward families with teenage children.
A luxurious treatment to be evident throughout, with good Feng-Shui considerations.
Maximise the useable space to enable the steep site to be utilised to its full recreational capacity.
