The challenge in the design of this kitchen was how to make a bold but complementary statement within the dramatic context of the wider space.
A lowered ceiling helps define the kitchen and creates a more intimate feel next to the living and dining areas with their soaring cathedral ceilings.
The kitchen’s darker palette and wood grain also add a warm, inviting ambience to the space, while careful configuration and placement of cabinetry ensures the rural views are maximised.
The judges were impressed with how this kitchen is perfectly in tune with the strong architectural features of the contemporary country home in which it sits..
